What's up everybody, Beau here. The Sonic Road Podcast is a long-form interview show about heavy music: stoner rock, heavy psych, desert rock, doom, grunge and post-metal, plus the people who keep that world running. I sit down with bands in the middle of an album cycle, legacy artists, producers, engineers, and the label owners and festival promoters who keep the underground going.
I've been a recording and gigging drummer for 35 years, and a fan of most of these bands for even longer. That's the angle here. These are long conversations, not five-minute press-junket chats. We talk about how records get made, life on the road, analog recording, vinyl, AI in music, and what it really costs to keep an independent band alive.
